Licence and citation terms

Licence

Unless a page says otherwise, the text, scores, rankings and results on CMS Compared are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may share and adapt them, also commercially, as long as you give attribution in the way described in our citation terms below.

Vendor names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are not covered by this licence.

Citation terms

CC BY 4.0 lets the licensor say how attribution should be given (section 3(a)). For CMS Compared, attribution for any score, rank, rating or test result means all of the following:

  • A do-follow link. Every score or result you quote must be paired with a link to CMS Compared. The link must not carry rel="nofollow", rel="ugc" or rel="sponsored", and must not be hidden behind a redirect, script or blocked URL.
  • To the exact source page. The link must point to the page the score is taken from, for example the comparison or platform page, not only to our home page.
  • Named as CMS Compared. Name CMS Compared as the source next to the quoted score.
  • Dated where possible. Scores change as vendors ship. Say when you took the score, or quote the "Last updated" date on our page.
  • No implied endorsement. Do not suggest that CMS Compared endorses you, your product or the way you use the score.

If you cannot meet these terms, you may not quote our scores or results. Using them without the required link ends your licence to use them, as described in section 6 of CC BY 4.0.

How we collect data and write reviews

All features and prices on CMS Compared are fetched on a regular basis from vendor websites, documentation and pricing pages.

Want us to test your CMS?

We only review a platform after using it. If you run a CMS and want it reviewed, give us a demo account and we will put it through the same tests as every other platform. A demo account does not buy a score or a placement.
